Award-winning New Zealand agency Salt Interactive called on me when this half-finished project was handed to them at the last minute - along with a client who was expecting a go-live within a matter of days.

Requiring a complete XHTML/CSS rewrite, additions and modifications to an already complex and convulted backend CMS, and on-the-fly generation of thumbnails for the massive library of video clips, the project was a mammoth undertaking with a looming deadline.

ffmpeg-php dynamically feeds the backend of the site with clip thumbnails and metadata as clips are uploaded, FlowPlayer API tricks automatically play clip previews on mouseover, while a custom-designed 'clipbin' system allows for simple selecting and submitting of clips.

An incredibly challenging and pressure-fueled project, but one that was delivered on time, and received the praises of agency and client alike.
